For over 60 years, Berthold Technologies has been a worldwide leader in mould level measurement technology. Last year, we proudly presented the LB452 CastXpert as the next generation in mould level measurement systems, improving upon its market-standard predecessor, the LB352. The LB452 CastXpert system can handle up to four separate measurement channels with one electronics unit. Coupled with the new LB 6739 GammaCast scintillation detector, the LB452 sets a new standard for radiometric mould level accuracy and performance. The speed of the cycle-time has been increased to 5 ms—much faster than Berthold Technologies’ previous mould level measurement system. The LB452 evaluation unit has also been redesigned to include an easy-to-read color, touch screen input for superior operator interface. The ECcast eddy current level system, which can be used alone or combined with the LB452 CastXpert evaluation unit, is the perfect complement when measurement of the mould powder is required.
