Power Line Systems  is a product line developed by ARG based at UPENN’s Pennovation Center. It uses the latest IEEE G3-PLC standards to communicate securely  over existing power lines and is the culmination of about fourteen-man years of research by ARG into smart grid systems. These products enable cities and buildings to remotely control existing lighting, infrastructure and sensors without installing any new wired or wireless systems. Essentially, implement the  Internet of things without the security issues associated with the internet or the cost of  cellular devices.
