Progeny Drone Inc. is a student/faculty owned startup based on soybean breeding research at Purdue University and supported by the Purdue Foundry. Our mission is to make it easy for plant breeders and other agronomic researchers to use drones for high-throughput phenotyping and other types of outdoor small plot research. We offer state-of-the-art software capable of stitching raw drone imagery and extracting ortho-images and plant metrics for individual research plots in minutes on a laptop while in the field without an internet connection or RTK-GPS. This will drastically reduce the cost of using drones for field-based agronomic research while solving many of the technical challenges agricultural researchers have faced since drones became popular.
