Bessey is celebrating the 125th Anniversary of our company this year. We are one of a handful of companies that have reached this milestone and in our case remain a privately held, family owned business. Bessey began as a steel drawing mill producing cold drawn bright steel. Our cold drawn steel business continues to this day as Bessey Precision Steel; producing steel for the German automotive, appliance, power tool, aerospace industries and supplying the Bessey Tool division with the cold drawn bright steel used in production of our clamps.
Bessey knows steel and we are the only producer of clamps that is vertically integrated, from mill run proprietary alloy steel coil stock, to bright cold drawn steel bars and then finished into clamps. No other company in the clamping tool business has this structure and competitive advantage.
