CertiPUR-US® is a not-for-profit certification program for flexible polyurethane foam used in bedding and upholstered furniture. Certified foams meet rigorous standards for content, emissions and durability, and are analyzed by independent, accredited testing laboratories. Certified foams are made without ozone depleters; PBDEs, TDPP or TCEP ("Tris") flame retardants; formaldehyde; mercury, lead and other heavy metals; phthalates regulated by the CPSC; and are low VOC emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million).
