Our scanners find defects before and after the moulding process (Inspector A and Inspector B) and at the end of wood boards (Inspector E). The EBI scanners serve the hardwood and softwood industry.
Some of the defects detected by our scanners include sap wood, heat altered wood, mechanical burns, crooking, thickness, end board squareness, splits, wane, unsound knots, loose knots, pin knots, bark pockets, shake, mineral streaks, fleck, cupping, hit and miss, sticker stains (blue, grey, sap, tick), holes, worm holes, and bowing.
