Fraunhofer CCD offers DLC, diamond and ceramic coatings, equipment and R&D services. Our customers seek high performance coating solutions for industrial applications. We support you to select the appropriate thin films, to develop, apply and test coating materials and to implement commercial system technologies and/or coating services.
Special Fraunhofer equipment is available such as Laser-Arc™ DLC deposition systems and LAwave™ laser acoustic thin film and bulk material testing machines. We offer testing and coating services and thus provide our customers with the opportunity to thoroughly evaluate the technologies before making an investment.
Proprietary R&D services are offered as structured development contracts. This service provides our customers with a highly trained engineering team to cost effectively develop competitive coating solutions for current and next generation products.
Fraunhofer CCD operates an advanced coatings technology laboratory in East Lansing, Michigan. Resources include industrial PVD coaters, CVD diamond reactors and several R&D systems for developing new coating materials. Advanced thin film and materials characterization capabilities are available through collaboration with Michigan State University.
