From a very early age, I was inspired by my mother’s paintings and artistic talent. Throughout the 1970’s and 1980’s, I sold several aviation drawings while serving on active duty in the US Air Force for nearly 12 years.
My passion for detail and realism were developed during my college studies at Colorado University where I minored in Architectural Design. I have found that combining my deep appreciation of nature and an eye for technical detail -- produce some amazing results on canvas!
When I paint, I want to capture the same feeling on canvas that you would feel if you were standing in the middle of the picture…the mist of a morning dew, the glory of a sunrise, the adrenaline of seeing a wild animal in its natural surroundings. I feel it is my duty as an artist to paint each scene or animal as accurately as I can. One day, that scene or that animal may disappear from the face of the earth…and if we lose them, we lose a part of what makes us who we are!
