The Katmai Preserve Exclusive Guide Use Area for Brown Bear and Alaskan Yukon Moose
Alaska Wild Wind Adventures has a sole guide use area in the world famous Katmai Preserve – Sugarloaf area on the Alaskan Peninsula. Encompassing close to 220 square miles, it harbors some of the richest salmon spawning grounds in the state, which in turn hold one of the world’s largest populations of brown bears. With a limited amount of tags and a long term permit with the National Park Service, we have an invested interest in preserving this area to harbor the best hunting Alaska can offer. These limited tags and exclusive guiding rights allows us to manage our area to the highest degree and increases the opportunity of potentially harvesting a record book brown bear and or Alaskan-Yukon moose. Owner and registered guide Cabot Pitts is on the board of directors for the Alaska Professional Hunters Association and has numerous years of experience guiding throughout the state of Alaska.
