Our device started life on a hospital transplant ward. As part of Michael's bowel transplant he had an ileostomy. It took him 3 weeks to look at his ostomy & another week to pluck up the courage to change the pouch.
He got used to emptying and changing his pouch but realised that it wasn’t quite as simple as pressing a call bell and asking a nurse to help. Output would occur without much notice and his transplant team wanted to track the volume of output and the timing.
