Ontario Woundcare Interest Group (OntWIG) is an interdisciplinary group of health care professionals representing all health care sectors, whose mission is to lead, promote and influence wound prevention and treatment of public policy for all citizens in our Ontario Health Care System. Its vision is to support Ontarian’s right to full access for wound prevention and treatment resources by influencing public policy related to uptake and utilization of evidence-informed practice.
Wound prevention and management is an area of growing interest worldwide, as such OntWIG has engaged with stakeholders, strategically aligned with policy makers and is influencing health care delivery in the province of Ontario. We look forward to networking with delegates as we contrinue the discussion on how to improve care not only for thousands of Ontarians affected by wounds, but to work together to propel the province to a position of national and international leadership in wound care.
