Empire Coffee Company Inc. was founded and incorporated in the State of New York in April of 1984 by Bob Ricther and Steve Dunefsky. Bob's background in the coffee industry dates back three generations where his grandfather sold fresh roasted coffee on the streets of Manhattan on the back of a horse-drawn wagon. Steve began his career as a salesman for Martinson's Coffee and quickly established himself as a pioneer in the office coffee service trade. A chance encounter in 1983 led Bob and Steve to join forces and form Empire Coffee Company, Inc. In the early months of 1995, Emipre Coffee moved into its current 40,000 square foot facility in Port Chester, New York. This new facility was designed and engineered to acheive consistency in lateral roasting, grinding and packaging. Over the next 20 years, Emipre has grown and established itself as one of the premiere custom coffee roasters on the east coast. Serving a wide range of customers and businesses, Empire is able to exceed expectations and be flexible to customers needs at a moments notice.
