At the heart of the Kulite pressure transducer is the piezoresistive silicon sensor. It has evolved from a simple silicon strain gage sensor to the high-tech, dielectrically isolated, silicon-on-insulator (SOI) sensor that is used today. Kulite has since developed the revolutionary Leadless Sensor, a SOI sensor without gold wire interconnections. The Leadless Sensor allows many Kulite products to be used in high vibration, high acceleration and high temperature environments.









Customer development and testing of new products typically require very accurate and repeatable pressure measurements for their proof of concept. Kulite has pressure transducers that meet the +/- 0.1% typical "Total Error Band" needed over a wide temperature range ( -65°F to 250°F ) for these measurements.  The use of a transducer with a tight Total Error Band can reduce the number of transducers one must stock to be ready for the next testing cycle.
