The Impact Project was developed in support of President Thelma Duffey’s 2015-2016 Anti-bullying and Interpersonal Violence Initiative.
Sadly, acts of relational and physical violence continue to be prevalent across our communities.
Advances in technology have ushered in new platforms for personal connection, but these have also served as arenas to increase virtual forms of aggression, such as cyberbullying. The mission of The Impact Project is to bring attention to the impact we have on one another.
The Impact Project provides a channel for us to positively harness the power of technology to publicly honor individuals whose impact we wish to recognize.
Many of us may not know or understand our value in each other’s lives.
Knowing so and stating our gratitude publicly is this initiative’s goal.
In doing, we hope to mitigate and combat experiences of bullying, interpersonal violence, and suicide.
