With the HoverMatt SPU, caregivers can safely transfer, turn and position patients without lifting or straining, as a cushion of air beneath the inflated device reduces the force required to move a patient by 80-90%. The new highly breathable HoverMatt SPU features fabric that exceeds the market standards for breathability to protect the integrity of the patient's skin by minimizing heat and moisture buildup.
The HoverMatt SPU also eliminates shear and reduces friction, protecting the patient's skin and giving them a more comfortable experience. The Q2Roller enables easy and efficient lateral patient turning with two inflatable chambers that are controlled by the clinician to achieve optimal positioning for patient care and pressure relief from bony prominences. By eliminating the need for manual lifting, the Q2Roller protects both the staff from injury and the patient from friction and shear associated with traditional repositioning methods. Furthermore, because of the reduction in force afforded by these products, caregivers are more likely to follow Q2 protocols and change linens to keep the patient’s skin clean and dry.
