Kimberly M. Britton is the Chief Executive Officer of EPIcenter, a nonprofit created by CPS Energy, OCI Solar, Itron and Landis+Gyr to focus on innovation in energy. EPIcenter drives thought leadership, convenes human intelligence, galvanizes alliances, and catalyzes new technologies and concepts in energy. She has cultivated extensive relationships with energy industry leaders and incubators across the U.S., rapidly raising the visibility and reputation of EPIcenter. Britton has decades of experience leading organizations in the sectors of energy, government, health care, and the arts with emphasis in nonprofits, government relations and public and community relations. Previously, she was the Director of Development for the San Antonio Museum of Art where she headed its fund development and membership operations and served as a member of the senior leadership team. Britton served as the Director of Community Relations for the Barnett division of Chesapeake Energy and led the company’s outreach activities in North Texas. Prior to Chesapeake she headed a hospital foundation in Fort Worth that she co-founded and served as a member of the executive team of the hospital. As a volunteer, she is a founder of Leadership San Antonio (LSA)’s Alumni Association and served as a member of LSA Class of 41 Steering Committee, having completed the course two years before during LSA 39. She has also served on multiple boards and committees that include the Cliburn Foundation where she was a vice chair for its international piano competition and at one time served as a trustee of the City of Fort Worth Employee Retirement Fund, a $1.5 billion nonprofit, as appointee of the Mayor and City Council. Currently she serves as a member of the Board of Visitors of the College of Education at Texas Christian University where she is also an alumna. Britton is married to her husband of 22 years, Gary Britton, who has his own executive coaching and business consulting firm.
