Leslie Wilks Garcia is the Chief Assistant County Auditor for Harris County, Texas. Prior to her current role as the Chief Audit Executive of the Internal Audit Division at Harris County, she worked twelve years in public accounting as an external auditor of local governments where she gained experience in federal and state single audits, construction audits, audits in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations and fraud examination. Leslie has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Houston Clear Lake and her professional certifications include Certified Public Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified Construction Auditor.
