Holds BS and MS degrees in mechanical engineering from Washington State University, where he was an inaugural member of the Sports Science Laboratory. During a six year tenure at Rawlings, he directed one of the company’s key product categories, managed these products across three consumer facing brands and was awarded multiple patents. At Marucci Sports, Mr. Cruz built and directed a highly efficient and effective product development team which successfully launched a full suite of baseball and softball products. Most recently, co-founded technology based startup (Head Health Network) focused on implementing sensors into helmets.
