Carla Thacker has been with the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago for over eight years and has held positions in program development, project coordination, and staff management. As Deputy Director of Guest Experiences, she is responsible for the management and coaching of a staff of nearly 70 Facilitators that deliver science programs throughout the museum. In her time at MSI, she has implemented several strategies in support of the department’s positive management culture, including improv exercises, reward and recognition programs, and on-going coaching strategies. Before coming to MSI, Carla studied geological sciences, graduating from Brown University with a Master’s of Science.
