Karyn Becker Bennett currently works for the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Office of Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO). She is a Project Manager focused on internal and joint business transformation and process reengineering for biometric (fixed platform and mobile) and other systems used to properly identify or verify individuals throughout the lifecycle of ERO immigration enforcement.  Prior to her work at ICE, she spent several years at the DHS Office of Biometric Identity Management (then the US-VISIT Program), primarily in a Customer Engagement role working with, and understanding the business processes of, components of the Departments of Defense, Justice, and Homeland Security.  She is broadly familiar with Federal government biometric systems and the programs that use them, and functions as a subject matter expert on biometrics in her current role.  She holds a Master’s degree in Security Studies from Georgetown University and a Graduate Certificate in Identity Management from the Naval Postgraduate School.
