Gary LaFever is co-founder and Chief Executive Office at Anonos Inc. (www.anonos.com). Anonos’ patented dynamic anonymity and de-identification technology complies with regulatory requirements for protecting personally identifiable information by maximizing the value of data without compromising privacy or security. Mr. LaFever is a co-inventor of ten granted US patents, with sixteen additional patents pending in the United States and internationally. Prior to launching Anonos, Mr. LaFever was co-founder and Chief Corporate Development Officer at FTEN, a financial data and risk management company nominated for the 2009 National Medal of Technology and Innovation, the United States’ highest honor for technological achievement. FTEN was recognized by Inc. magazine as the fastest-growing software company two years in a row - 2008 and 2009. In 2010, NASDAQ acquired FTEN, where its solutions today provide real-time data risk management in over 80 financial securities markets around the globe. From 1986 through 1996, Mr. LaFever practiced law in Hogan Lovells’ Science and Technology Group. Mr. LaFever received his law degree in 1986 from The American University - Washington College of Law. Following his receipt in 1981 of an undergraduate degree in management information systems and computer science from James Madison University, Mr. LaFever began his professional career at Accenture, the multinational management consulting and technology services firm.
