Todd Goldsworthy

Klatch Coffee

Since his early teenage years Todd was always fascinated with the coffeehouse experience. At first, he was drawn in by the environment and the atmosphere, but later learned that it was the coffee that would inspire his career path. Wanting to learn everything there is to know about working and operating a cafe, Todd got his first job in coffee at the age of 19 with Starbucks. He moved up through the ranks working both in the San Diego and Los Angeles markets in positions of barista up through district manager in addition to taking on many project management roles throughout each market. Todd's keen operational knowledge goes far beyond the day to day in running a successful coffee business. He has successfully launched new products for Starbucks such as training, implementing, and launching the Clover program for Los Angeles and Santa Barbara markets. He has supported the renovation of more than a dozen stores and opened a dozen more. Over the years, Todd has continued to find ways to expand his knowledge of the industry by attending and volunteering at SCA (Speciality Coffee Association) and BGA (Barista Guild of America) events. Through these activities Todd has become BGA level 1 & 2 certified, BGA level 1 & 2 credentialed examiner, and credentialed lead instructor. One of his biggest acheivement is becoming a two-time US Brewers Cup Champion (2014 and 2016)! He advanced placing 5th in the world (2016) and 1st in compulsory both times. With his commitment and passion for specialty coffee, Todd will always find a way to elevate his wisdom and skills to the next level. Todd is a graduate of Point Loma Nazarene University where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in Media Communication. He continued his education earning a masters in business administration from the University of Phoenix.
