Scott has been in the economic development field since 2010 in both North Carolina and Georgia. He currently serves as the Project Manager with the Augusta Economic Development Authority in Augusta, Georgia, leading the business development efforts. During his career, Scott has led relocation and expansion projects of companies such as ASMO North America, Unisys, General Dynamics IT, Eco Energy, and DSM. His efforts have translated into over $700,000,000 in capital investments and over 5,500 new jobs in the communities he has served. His leadership has also successfully supported various workforce development, entrepreneurial, and legislative initiatives. Scott has worked with entrepreneurs in information technology, manufacturing, and life science start ups. He assisted in every aspect of the commercialization of technology transfer projects coming out of multiple universities and the private sector through the management of the Technology Enterprise Center of Eastern North Carolina, the largest technology incubator east of Research Triangle Park. Scott has worked not only as a business consultant to companies but worked with investor networks on various investment opportunities. Scott serves on a variety of boards including the Armed Forces Communications & Electronics Association, the Technology Association of Georgia, the National Defense Industrial Association, and was elected by his peers to serve on the board of the Southern Economic Development Council. Recently, Scott was named to Augusta’s “Top 10 Young Professionals to Watch” and the “Georgia Young Gamechangers” list. He also holds a BA degree in Hospitality Management, a BSBA in Finance, and a Master in Business Administration from East Carolina University.
