Tom Patterson is the Chief Trust Officer for Unisys, a global technology leader with its global security headquarters in Augusta. Tom has three decades of experience across all facets of security and leads the Unisys effort to advance breakthrough security technologies that help protect the civilized world from all threats, foreign and domestic. His teams at Unisys provide advanced security to governments and critical infrastructure companies around the world that protect national borders, transact trillions of dollars a day, deliver energy to millions, secure global air transit, and provide healthcare to entire populations. Tom has served on several public company boards and advised the FBI, Secret Service, and White House on security issues. He currently holds a Top Secret clearance and serves pro-bono on the Ft. Gordon Cyber District Alliance, Augusta Innovation Zone, and Security Innovation Network boards. Under President Obama, Tom was appointed to and still serves on the White House’s NSTAC’s Emerging Technology Strategic Vision Subcommittee, and under President Trump has been appointed to an NSC subcommittee on critical infrastructure protection. A prolific writer and frequent speaker, Tom is the author of the critically acclaimed book Mapping Security and speaks frequently at DoJ, DoD, SIFMA, East-West Institute, and many other high level government and industry events around the world. Tom and his family are proud new citizens of Augusta, where they are active in a variety of non-profit and civic minded programs across the region.
