Originally from Canada, Tom studied engineering in California and Oklahoma, receiving his BS in Civil Engineering from University of Oklahoma. He has 36 years of engineering experience, 26 of those with AECOM, where he is a Vice President and Senior Project Manager. He has received awards for the Mokelumne River Bridge Project in 2006 and the South Watt Avenue/Light Rail Transit Grade Separation Project in 2010. Tom is the author or co-author on several publications covering topics such as nonlinear analysis of bridges; scour susceptibility review, risk assessment and countermeasure design; freeze-thaw damage assessment and monitoring using high definition 3-D scanning; and innovative use of PC/PS concrete.
