Ken Botts has over 35 years of food service experience. He was previously with the University of North Texas (UNT) where he helped launch the nation’s first vegan dining hall. In 2014 Ken joined the Humane Society of the United States as director of food and nutrition where he helped create a plant-based culinary training program for institutional food service providers and introduced plant-based cuisine to over 4000 culinary professionals around the world. Currently, he is the head of programs and partnerships at Hungry Planet, a premium plant-based meat company. Ken has helped food service leaders around the world meet the demand for more sustainable dining through menu design, culinary education and concept development. His mission in life is to help make the world a better place, one plate at a time.
