Mr. Halpin serves as the Global Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) Manager for DOF Subsea USA, Inc. He is an accomplished marine scientist, inventor and geophysicist with 15 years of experience in offshore survey and oil and gas field development. Sean joined DOF Subsea in 2013 and is responsible for spearheading strategic planning and product development for AUVs and other advanced subsea technologies. Sean has broad spectrum experience in Offshore and Onshore Program Management. He is an expert in AUV and Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) development as well as AUV Survey Program design, implementation and management. Mr. Halpin has an extensive background in Geophysical, Hydrographic and Geotechnical Data acquisition, interpretation, data integration, and 3D/4D Data Visualizations. Fluent in 12 programming languages, Sean has written over 40 programs to aid in the processing and integration of both offshore and onshore survey data. He is responsible for creating low cost, high value innovation utilizing custom software and hardware to rapidly examine and synthesize data. Sean has worked with global firms including UTEC Survey, INTECSEA and Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). Previous to DOF Subsea he was responsible for management of development geoscience programs for numerous billion dollar projects in Asia, the Eastern Mediterranean, Africa, and Mexico. He has held positions as Global AUV Manager, Geophysical Manager of the Americas and Survey and Geoscience Specialist delivering projects to an international list of clients including all major oil and gas operators, The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA). Sean graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Science from the Maine Maritime Academy in Castine, Maine.
