Dan Katz is the CEO and Co-founder of Orbital Sidekick, a U.S. commercial company that uses a proprietary analytics platform and satellite payload architecture to provide persistent monitoring solutions powered by Hyperspectral Imaging. As CEO, Dan is responsible for both shaping and executing on the mission and vision of OSK. Prior to starting his role at Orbital Sidekick in 2016, Dan spent five years at Space Systems Loral (now Maxar), where he grew from an Emerging Markets Design and Qualification Propulsion Liaison to a Senior Researcher & Developer and Propulsion Engineer. He has also served as a Civil Inspector and Technical Analyst at PGH Wong Engineering Inc., where he worked on multi-billion dollar civil infrastructure programs. His educational background includes studies in Physics and Aerospace Engineering.
