Vincent DeLaurentis serves as the Deputy Director of the newly established DHS Joint Requirements Council (JRC). The JRC is charged with advancing the Secretary’s goals and objectives toward building a more unified and operationally effective and efficient organization through a component-driven joint requirements process. Additionally, Mr. DeLaurentis serves as an advisor to the Secretary regarding the DHS Unity of Effort and management reform initiatives. Mr. Delaurentis recently transitioned to DHS after completion of a 30 year career in the U.S. Coast Guard. As a Coast Guard officer, he had a wide range of operational and staff assignments, including both command of Coast Guard Cutters and several tours in strategic planning, requirements development, and programming and budgeting. Mr. DeLaurentis is a 1985 graduate of the U. S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. He holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from George Mason University, and is a Senior Fellow of the Partnership for Public Service Excellence in Government program.
