Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Chris Walls joined the newly established Cyber career field in 2015. He currently serves as Chief of Doctrine and Lessons Learned & Best Practices Division of the U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence. He enlisted in the National Guard in 1993 as an Infantryman and received a commission in the Infantry from North Georgia College in 1997 where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History. LTC Walls is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Cyber Security from Liberty University. He has had numerous combat tours and has extensive experience in the intelligence, joint and multinational operations, and interagency collaboration. Key assignments held by LTC Walls include 2nd Infantry Division, 82nd Airborne Division, the Asymmetric Warfare Group, United States Cyber Command, and United States Army Cyber Command. His awards and decorations include Ranger Tab, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Senior Parachutist Badge, Bronze Star, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, and Meritorious Service Medal. In his free time LTC Walls enjoys spending time with his family, wife Kathy and sons Michael and David and coaching youth soccer.
