Mike Lubben is the Director of Global Risk Management for Henry Crown and Company in Chicago. Henry Crown and Company is a large multi-national conglomerate of real estate, manufacturing and hospitality. Mike has over 30 years of experience in Risk Management with the majority of time leading Risk Management Departments for Fortune 500 or large privately held firms (such as Tempur-Sealy and Ryder Trucks). He has been the President of several captive insurance companies and led the formation of others. He has been a faculty member for the National Alliance of Insurance Education (presenting at Certified Risk Manager courses nationally), a regular “visiting professor” for RIMS’ “Risk Manager in Residence” Program and has spoken at the annual Business Insurance conference, Captive Insurance Companies Association (CICA) and many other industry functions. Mike has a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) in finance from St. Ambrose University (Davenport, IA) with an undergraduate degree from The University of Iowa (Iowa City, IA). He has executive MBA diplomas from the Darden School of Business (University of VA; Charlottesville, VA) and the London Business School (London, England). He holds the industry designations of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Risk Manager (CRM) and Associate in Claims (AIC). He is currently working on a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) from Liberty University.
