Tomas A. Kuehn, Esq. is a Vice President and Sr. Associate General Counsel at BrightView Landscapes LLC, which is headquartered in Calabasas, California and Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania. Mr. Kuehn started at what was then known as ValleyCrest Companies in 2010. In 2015, ValleyCrest and Pennsylvania based The Brickman Group Ltd. consolidated and formed BrightView, which is the world’s largest integrated landscape contractor, offering service lines that include landscape construction, design/architecture, landscape maintenance, tree sales and services, golf course maintenance, and turf solutions. BrightView’s footprint spans the United States, and abroad, with operations in China, Puerto Rico, and the Bahamas, among other countries. BrightView’s annual revenues exceed $2 Billion, and it employs over 20,000 employees across its divisions. BrightView’s legal department includes 5 attorneys across the country. Mr. Kuehn’s roles at BrightView are diverse. His background lies in construction law, and he is the primary attorney representing BrightView’s construction division, BrightView Landscape Development, Inc. on various transactional and litigation matters, along with sister divisions BrightView Design Group, BrightView Tree Company (a commercial nursery), BrightView Golf Maintenance, Inc. and U.S. Lawns, Inc., which is a franchisor based in Florida. Mr. Kuehn also provides enterprise-wide support to all of BrightView’s divisions in areas such as labor and collective bargaining, contractor’s license matters, mergers and acquisitions, collections and bankruptcy. He supports the company’s real estate and risk management departments, and serves as corporate secretary for multiple entities.
