Ty Holt is the founder and Managing Principal of THE HOLT GROUP LLC, Attorneys & Counselors at Law, and WESTERN NEUTRAL SERVICES, LLC, a commercial mediation and arbitration service. He is a nationally recognized commercial and construction lawyer, arbitrator and mediator. He has successfully tried a number of disputes in federal and state courts; and arbitration forums. He is listed in the "Red Book" of public finance attorneys. Ty is admitted to practice law before the United States Supreme Court, the Colorado Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth, Ninth and Tenth Circuits, the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, and on a Pro Hac Vice basis in various federal and state courts. In 1974, he served as law clerk/extern for the Honorable Preston Devine, California First District Court of Appeals. Ty served on the Governing Committee of the American Bar Associaton Forum on the Construction Law from 2007 to 2010. He is a Fellow and Past President of the College of Commercial Arbitrators. Ty is a member of: Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society; the American Arbitration Association's Construction Arbitration and Mediation Master Panels; the National Academy of Distinquished Neutrals; and the CPR International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution. Ty is certified by the International Mediation Institute. He currently serves on the Dean's Advisory Council at the Stanford Law School. Ty lectures at the University of Colorado School of Engineering and in the Spring 2017 semester, he co-taught "CVEN 5246 – Legal Aspects of Construction". In March 2017, he co-presented a day seminar, "Colorado and Federal Arbitration Law and Practice", for the Colorado Bar Association CLE.
