Todd Bressler is the Chief Legal Officer for Bernards. In this position, Todd provides legal counsel to Bernards operational, corporate, and executive teams. Todd’s responsibilities include the evaluation of proposed delivery methods and procurement procedures to assist the operational teams in connection with potential projects, as well as the negotiation and preparation of project documents including the owner agreements, subcontracts, purchase orders, professional service agreements, joint venture agreements, and required lender documents. Todd also manages outside litigation counsel with respect to any construction, real estate, regulatory, and employment-related claims. Further, Todd counsels and advises the Human Resources team regarding terminations, leaves of absence, workplace investigations, and coordinates and conducts internal investigations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. In addition, Todd consults with corporate Risk Management in the evaluation of insurance programs to appropriately manage risk, comply with all contractual requirements, and balance premium exposure to the likely risks. Todd also develops and implements training programs to help educate Bernards’ team on risk mitigation.
