Pat Brown joined Barnard Construction Company, Inc. in 2004 and serves as Corporate General Counsel. He has been working in the construction industry representing contractors and subcontractors for 30 years. Pat provides legal counsel tempered with a business sense to allow the Barnard Companies to make sound business decisions, ranging from contract review to contract negotiations and claims resolution. His work on insurance claims has included CGL, builder's risk, professional liability, and directors/officers claims. He also coordinates with and manages outside counsel to accomplish Barnard's goals in balancing budgetary issues. Pat is involved in the acquisition and sale of businesses and real property, safety, human resources, risk management, accounting, marketing, and providing guidance to all within the Company from the Chairman of the Board to engineers in the field.
