Salvador Fonseca coordinates the Dispute Resolution practice of Holland & Knight in Mexico. He has more than 23 years of experience representing corporate and individual clients in complex international and domestic arbitration and litigation with particular emphasis in construction and infrastructure disputes. He has participated in arbitrations under the rules of the major arbitral institutions and is an expert in dispute boards and other methods of solving disputes. Salvador has also served as sole arbitrator and chairman of arbitral tribunals in many international and local cases. He graduated with honors from the School of Law of the University of Guadalajara in 1995. He has an LLM from the School of Law of the New York University and a postgraduate degree in law from the Universidad Panamericana, where he currently teaches Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution. Salvador is a member of the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR) Panel of Arbitrators and the Chair of the ICDR Mexican Advisory Committee. He is a member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Mexico Arbitration Commission. Salvador is a member of the roster of international arbitrators of the Chambers of Commerce of Lima in Peru; Bogota, Cali and Medellin in Colombia; Costa Rica; and other arbitral institutions in Latin America. He is a member of the Mexican Bar Association and the National Association for Corporate Counsel (ANADE) where he is vice coordinator of its Dispute Resolution Committee. Salvador is recognized as a leader in his field by Chamber & Partners, Legal 500, Who’s Who Legal and other publications.
