Jonathan Hausner has spent his entire legal career focused on construction law, and he is a member of the firm's Construction Group. Mr. Hausner handles all aspects of construction project transactions, dispute resolution and litigation. He represents all parties involved in construction, including public and private property owners, general contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, and construction sureties. Contract Procurement and Project Delivery Mr. Hausner has over a decade of experience in negotiating and preparing contracts for the construction industry. He handles transactions between owners, architects, engineers, and project developers. He represents a broad array of clientele, and he has handled construction transactions for hotel developers and operators, colleges, universities and secondary schools, private investment firms, real estate firms, rail service providers, and multi-national consumer good companies. Dispute Resolution Mr. Hausner works to find the quickest and most efficient way to extricate a client from a dispute. He looks for ways to help his clients resolve their construction-related disputes before they reach litigation or arbitration. He provides alternative dispute resolution services and is experienced in mediation. If a dispute reaches court or an arbitration, Mr. Hausner is experienced at litigating and arbitrating complex claims. He manages claims related to any problems that arise in a construction project, such as allegations of defective design and construction, and issues surrounding change orders, delays, bid disputes, and bond claims. Mr. Hausner is a regular contributor to the firm’s blog which covers construction law matters, Construction Law Zone. Mr. Hausner was a board member for the New England Chapter of the Construction Management Association of America for over a decade, and he is a board member and the Construction Section chair for the Real Estate Bar Association for Massachusetts.
