Matthew Krafft is a Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting and is based in Rockville, Maryland. Mr. Krafft concentrates his practice in dispute, compliance and investigatory-related services. He has provided consulting services and expert testimony related to construction and government contract claims, contract terminations, Qui Tam (false claim) actions, fraud investigations, bankruptcy examinations, partnership disputes, and lost profit analyses. He has provided expert testimony in both court and board/arbitration forums including U.S. Boards of Contract Appeals, U.S. Federal District Court, The United States Court of Federal Claims, The United States Bankruptcy Court as well as state courts, dispute resolution and adjudication boards and mediation proceedings. Mr. Krafft regularly testifies on claim pricing, cost allocation and other damages issues on construction and government contracts. He has provided cost accounting and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) consulting services to some of the largest construction contractors in the United States and the world as well as to federal and state agencies. He regularly provides consulting services in areas such as cost analysis of claims, contract termination proposals, equitable adjustments and bid protests as well as assistance with investigations, indirect cost rate determinations, governmental audits and other compliance services. Mr. Krafft has varied experience including the following: the Panama Canal Third Set of Locks Project; the Central Artery/Tunnel (CA/T) Project in Boston, Massachusetts (The CA/T is one of the largest public works projects in history and is of a scale comparable to the English Channel Tunnel); Consulting for a large U.S. defense contractor addressing matters related to the Commission on Wartime Contracting; Consulting to a large aerospace contractor addressing alleged estimating system deficiencies; Mr. Krafft has also analyzed numerous claims and compliance ma
