Murray A. Sewell II is vice president of Strategy and Business Development for Mission Sustainment for Harris Corporation’s Critical Networks segment. Critical Networks provides managed services supporting air traffic management, energy and maritime communications, ground network operation and sustainment, and high-value IT and engineering services. In this role, Sewell is accountable for developing and implementing the business’ strategy for advancing success in key federal markets, to include the Department of Defense (DoD), Intel, Civil, and Healthcare lines of business. Prior to joining Harris, Sewell was an area sales leader for Hewlett- Packard/Electronic Data Systems, responsible for all sales activities in the DoD and civilian market segments. Earlier, Sewell was director of Sales for Unisys’ civilian sector, developing and managing pipeline activity for civilian agencies. He began his career at Burroughs as a sales executive before Burroughs and Sperry merged to create Unisys. Sewell served in the U.S. Air Force for five years. He is a member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, the Professional Services Council, and the American Council for Technology–Industry Advisory Council. Sewell earned his bachelor of science degree in business administration from York College, Pennsylvania.
