Kirsten Petersen is an Engineer I in the System Protection and Control Engineering (SPACE) group at San Diego Gas & Electric. She began her career with SDG&E in 2014 after completing a Bachelors and Masters of Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University. Her projects involve the control and automation of distribution relays, including their use in battery energy storage and microgrid systems, as well as Advanced SCADA projects such as Falling Conductor Protection. Kirsten is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of California.
