Brig. Gen. Peter J. Lambert is Vice Commander of the 25th Air Force, Joint Base San Antonio- Lackland, Texas. He is responsible to the commander for providing multisource intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance products, applications, capabilities and resources; electronic warfare; strategic command and control; and integrating cyber ISR forces and expertise. The 25th Air Force includes the 70th, 363rd and 480th ISR Wings; the 9th Reconnaissance Wing; the 55th Wing; the Air Force Technical Applications Center and all Air Force cryptologic operations. More than 26,000 25th Air Force Airmen worldwide provide flexible collection, analysis, weapons monitoring, and operational intelligence to joint warfighters and the national intelligence community. General Lambert received his commission through the Norwich University Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Program in 1988. He has served in a variety of intelligence staff and command assignments. His staff assignments include numbered air force, major command, Headquarters U.S. Air Force and Joint Staff positions. He has also served in the Defense Intelligence Agency and National Security Agency. Most recently Colonel Lambert was the Commander of the National Security Agency/Central Security Service Texas (NSA/CSS Texas). He commanded the 547th Intelligence Squadron, Nellis AFB, Nevada; the 659th ISR Group, Ft. Meade, Maryland; and the National Security Agency-Texas in San Antonio. His tours outside the intelligence field include the Joint Staff J-7.
