Gavin Lam Senior Retail Operations Manager Ocean Park Corporation, Hong Kong Gavin joins the Ocean Park Hong Kong since 2012, takes in charge the Retail Department including souvenir shops, skilled games, photo-imaging and other revenue streams with third parties, ie electronic lockers. He possesses professional know-how on product planning, sourcing, design and visual merchandising; also restless drive on productivity. He delivered an instrumental 16% growth on Retail per-capital revenue, after two years of service, by improvement on product mix, selling tactics and strategy. On top of monetary, he acknowledges the meaning of service in theme park, and strengthens service mind-set of his team. Through an independent study in 2015, souvenir shops scored the third among all service-providing departments in park. Performance of Retail in Ocean Park remains strong these days. Before joining Ocean Park, Gavin had almost 2 decades solid experience on product sourcing, planning and design in Retail industry. His career began as Merchandiser in garment factory, Buyer of formal business wear, sportswear, casual wear and fashion brand. Prior to 2012, Gavin was the Senior Buying Manger of a local casual wear chain store, stationed in China for four years, and product planning for 1000+ stores all over China. His extend scope of coverage in the industry furnished his flexibility and adaptability on different market segments, profiles, and demographics. Gavin is a graduate of Executive MBA in Chinese University of HK. Gavin has strong traits of being analytical, systematic, empathetic, warm and creative thinking.
