Rodrigo Fernandez is the Director of the Representation Office of the U.S. Dairy Export Council for Mexico, Central America and the Dominican Republic. Rodrigo has developed a professional career for more than 27 years in the food sector and in particular at the dairy industry sector of Mexico. He joined the U.S. Dairy Export Council Mexico office in 1995. In 2003, the USDEC Mexico office expander its services coverage to Central America, and the Dominican Republic. Among the main activities under its direction in USDEC Mexico, are the Institutional and Corporate Affairs with governmental entities of Mexico, such as Economy Department and the Agriculture Department, as well as domestic dairy farmers and dairy processors associations from the countries its office covers. The main objective of the USDEC Mexico representative office is to provide service to USDEC members in issues related to Trade Servicing by establishing trade contacts, carrying out Marketing activities and programs, and issues related with Trade Policy and Market Access and Regulatory Affairs, among others. Rodrigo also provide support to the Consortium for Common Food Names CCFN and other U.S. associations related to the U.S. dairy industry. Rodrigo is a graduate of the Ibero-Americana University of Mexico City, of the International Relationships Career, and has post-graduate studies in Foreign Trade. He lives in Mexico City.
