Mother of seven public school children ranging from 18 to 5 and passionate advocate on behalf of youth; Michelle Smith, began in PTA as President of The Colony Early Childhood PTA, graduated to Elementary School boards, Middle School President, High School President and works on Northwest ISD Council of PTA's as Community Engagement Chair and Parliamentarian. She is earnest in providing a voice for every child in conventional and out-of-the-box ways. She enjoys networking with others and finding ways to recognize the quiet helpers. Currently, she is President at her children's Middle and High Schools (both of which were awarded National PTA School of Excellence Awards) and wants to find solutions to help the families and volunteers at secondary schools to meet their goals and engage their communities.
