Jeff is the Program Manager of Energy Initiatives for Pentair and is a nationally recognized expert and speaker on energy saving opportunities in swimming pools with over 30 years’ experience in the energy conservation field. Jeff is the lead developer on energy audit software and tools to demonstrate cost effective swimming pool upgrade opportunities. Jeff leads efforts with electrical utility companies to develop incentive programs that promote energy efficient and demand response enabled pool equipment. Jeff served as a member of the Dept. of Energy rulemaking committee for federal efficiency standards of pool pumps. He also represents Pentair on the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals ANSI/APSP/ICC-15 Residential Swimming Pool and Spa Energy Efficiency Standards committee, the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) C840 Committee for Pool Energy Efficiency, as well as the founder of the APSP Energy Coalition which serves as the federal lobbying arm of the pool industry on energy related issues. Jeff is a veteran of the US Navy where he spent 6 years aboard submarines serving as an electrician and nuclear reactor plant operator.
