Samer Arafa Samer is a lead engineer in National Grid’s Grid Modernization group. The team is responsible for piloting and deploying new ‘grid facing’ technologies, Samer’s focuses on exploring the possible benefits power electronic based technologies can bring to the distribution system. Before joining National Grid Samer worked as an Project Manager of Advanced Inverters at Yaskawa Solectria Solar for 5 years where he helped create the companies Advanced Inverters program. Samer graduated from Jordan University of Science and Technology in 2006 with a B.S.EE and earned a M.S.EE from Northeastern University in 2011. Samer is also a certified PMP and a certified Scrum Master.
