Calvin J. Konya Ph.D. has a BS, MS, and Ph.D. in Mining engineering with emphasis on explosives and blasting.˜ He is an Explosives Engineer and works worldwide. ˜He was a University Professor in Mining Engineering at WVU and Ohio State University.˜ ˜He was Founder and first President of the International Society of Explosives Engineers.˜ He is President of Precision Blasting Services Inc., a worldwide Consulting Company in explosives and blasting since 1973.˜ He developed and certified his own brand of emulsion explosives and licenses the technology worldwide.˜ He developed a simplified ?Chub? Packaging machine, and a simplified emulsion manufacturing method and equipment to make emulsion explosives. ˜He founded and is the Director of the Academy for Blasting and Explosives Technology.
