Having spent 50 years in the electrical industry, Otto has acquired a wealth of experience, knowledge and expertise in varied aspects of the industry. Following his early career as a summertime helper during high school and college, Otto entered the IBEW Apprenticeship Program, graduating with his contractor’s electrical license. He then went on to work as a Journeyman electrician, where shortly thereafter he was promoted to foreman, managing numerous electrical construction projects. Otto then advanced to the administrative and management aspect of the electrical contracting business, where he has been for the past 35 years. He currently holds the position of Vice President of Tri City Electric in Miami, Florida, one of the largest IBEW employers in the South Florida area. During his time at Tri City Electric the customer base has expanded to include most of the major facilities in South Florida including sports stadiums and arenas, hospitals, casino, gambling establishments and paramutual facilities. Otto has served on numerous community and national electrical contracting committees. He currently resides in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida with his wife of 45 years and two adult children. In his personal life he enjoys outdoor activities which include boating, offshore fishing, and coaching high school baseball.
