Michael Erickson serves as a business development executive (BDE) and team leader at the Richard P. Feynman Center for Innovation (FCI) at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). His primary role is to represent LANL space capabilities and technologies in the interest of the US Government, which often involves the participation of US industry for manufacturing and technology advancement. He is charged with capability identification, intellectual property management, contract execution and maintenance of industry partnerships within his portfolio. He is also responsible for the development of the LANL FCI BDE team to increase the quality and number of successful technology transitions to industry with an optimal level of risk. Michael has an MBA from San Diego State University and has served LANL for 12 years in technology transfer.
