Captain Erich Klein is the Commanding Officer of the U.S. Coast Guard Finance Center, responsible for financial statement preparation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and property accounting for the Coast Guard, Transportation Security Administration, and Domestic Nuclear Detection Office. He previously served as Deputy Chief of the Coast Guard Office of Financial Transformation and Compliance, Comptroller of Coast Guard Integrated Support Command Honolulu, and Financial Manager on the Engineering and Logistics Directorate staff. Captain Klein has had numerous operational and logistics assignments that include eight years of sea duty, command of Coast Guard Cutter SITKINAK, and command of Coast Guard Base Honolulu. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Coast Guard Academy, a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Maryland, and a Master of Science degree from the National Defense University. Captain Klein is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Defense Financial Manager.
